I grew up in Missouri where I spent my childhood driving my hot rod tractor, watching Saturday morning cartoons, and drawing characters from the newspaper comics. In college I earned a BFA degree in Commercial Art and soon after graduation, got my first job in the art department of a publishing house in Tennessee.
In Nashville I got married and had two great kids. I continued to create illustrations for the publishing house for a wide variety of products including books, games, magazines, posters, cards, and curriculum.
In 1994 I began my freelance illustration career. My illustrations are a combination of hand drawings with digital Photoshop color. I enjoy working with clients to create warm, friendly characters in illustrations that meet their unique needs. I have nearly 20 years of experience, I am easy to work with, and I always meet my deadlines. Clients have told me that I am a pleasure to work with. I always enjoy hearing that!
